Scratch Building the Yacht UTRECHT by Gilbert (Gib) McArdle

Gib Mc Ardle has taken Cor Emke’s detailed plans featured in the book The Statenjacht Utrecht and enhanced them by drawing a set if framing plans and then building his model Navy Board style. In addition, Gib has built the entire interior of it showing all of the cabins and their furnishings. He shows them by leaving the deck exposed except for some deck beams.

When you combine Cor Emke’s plans with Gib’s framing you can build a beautiful model of this ship using Navy Board, pland on frame, plank on bulkhead or solid hull. Any way you choose you will have a stunning outcome as shown in the book’s color section.
