David Magee

David Magee is a screenwriter whose many films include Life of Pi, Finding Neverland, Mary Poppins Returns, A Man Called Otto, and the live action adaptation of The Little Mermaid.  

Honors for his writing include nominations for two Academy Awards, two British Academy awards, a Writer’s Guild Award, and a Golden Globe. He has been awarded the Humanitas Prize and UCLA’s Screenwriter of the Year Award and he has twice served as Emerson College’s Semel Chair of Screenwriting.
