The Golden Age of the clipper ship produced some of the most beautiful, fast and sturdy sailing ships known to man. People marveled at the majesty of these ships under full sail.

Ed Tosti, author of the series on the Naiad frigate has, in collaboration with SeaWatchBooks, produced a new three volume series documenting one such ship, Young America,1853 with exquisite detail in 1:72 scale.

In Volume III, Ed Tosti takes the reader through a master class in creating masts and spars, making rope and all required fittings and then threads his way through standing and running rigging. The three volumes are the zenith in the art and craft of ship modeling.
